About us

Lamorinda Petanque, Club located 480 St Marys Rd in Lafayette, has been an active  an active member of the Federation of Petanque USA since 1993. 

We play casual games Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at the Lamorinda Pétanque Club located 480 St  Marys Road, Lafayette, California. We usually start at 1 pm on Tuesday and Thursday. We play all day Sunday and organize a Sunday Club Mix Hours 2-4 pm as a chance to meet everybody. 

Once a month we organize a friendly intraclub tournament called Funday,  It is played on regulation lanes, consisting of three 55-minute timed games using the Swiss Tournament System of the FPUSA tournament regulations.  To ensure an even number of teams and that everyone plays, some teams may need to be triplettes, others doublettes. We provide an introduction to Petanque on 6/7, 7/12, 8/2 from noon to 2pm.  details are in the Lamorinda calendar.

Superseding the above regular activities, the 21 lanes of the playing field  are reserved for regional and national tournaments  that are listed in the Lamorinda Calendar  and the Northern California Calendar .
